SUMMARY:Financial Advisors Needed For Pro Bono/Planners in the Library
DESCRIPTION:FPA Silicon Valley is providing complimentary financial planning sessions to the community and is seeking volunteers\n\n\nGilroy Financial Planning Day\n\nCLICK HERE TO SIGNUP\n\n\nThe Financial Planning Association supports our community by providing complimentary one-to-one financial planning advice at the Gilroy Financial Planning Day. The event will be an in-person event and available to the entire public.\n\nThe day will begin with a presentation on the topic of Social Security by Kerry Worden\, a Registered Social Security Analyst at 11 am\, followed by 1:1 financial planning sessions from noon until 2pm.\n\nFinancial planners who are interested in volunteering their time to offer one to one financial planning are encouraged to sign up. Please note that per the FPA of Silicon Valley guidelines\, Financial Counseling Volunteers must be CFP®  professionals and members of an FPA chapter. (Logistics Volunteers do not have to be.)\n\nLogistics volunteers will help get attendees checked in and assigned to planners and ensure that meetings are on time to get all attendees a chance to meet with a planner. Logistics volunteers can sit in on the one-on-one sessions if time permits to listen and learn how an experienced planner gives advice. It is an excellent opportunity for logistics volunteers to see and experience how planners may approach many kinds of financial issues that arise.\n\nThank you for your time\, and if you have questions\, please get in touch with the event organizer\, Jennipher Lommen\, via email: jennnipher.lommen@wildflowerfinancial.com
