SUMMARY:Financial Advisors Needed For Pro Bono/Planners in the Library
DESCRIPTION:FPA Silicon Valley is providing complimentary financial planning sessions to the community\n\n\nThe Financial Planning Association supports our community by providing complimentary one-to-one financial planning advice at the Gilroy Library Financial Planning Day. The event will be an in-person event and available to the entire public. \nPlanning sessions will take place on Saturday\, March 7\, noon to 2pm. \nThe event will begin with a financial literacy presentation on financial planning basics. This talk will be offered in both English and Spanish beginning at 11am on the day of the event. Planning sessions will begin promptly at noon. \nPlease note that per the FPA of Silicon Valley guidelines\, Financial Counseling Volunteers must be CFP(R) professionals and members of an FPA chapter (Logistics Volunteers do not have to be). \nLogistics volunteers will help get attendees checked in and assigned to planners and make sure that meetings are on time to get all attendees a chance to meet with a planner. If time permits\, logistics volunteers will be allowed to sit in on the one-on-one meetings to listen and learn how an experienced planner gives advice. It is an excellent opportunity for logistics volunteers to see and experience how different planners may approach many different kinds of financial issues that arise. \nRefreshments will be provided to our volunteers. \nThank you for your time\, and if you have questions\, please contact the event organizer\, Jennipher Lommen\, CFP(R)\, at jennipher.lommen@wildflowerfinancial.com or 831-854-7291. See you there! \nTo sign up: https://schedule.planhero.com/events/8c68626a7/march-2026-gilroy-library\n  \n\n___________________________ \nMORE INFORMATION FROM THE GILROY LIBRARY: https://sccl.bibliocommons.com/events/69336f616f92613600098329

SUMMARY:Kitces Tax Intensive CE Day
DESCRIPTION:About Kitces Tax Intensive CE Day\n\nFulfill your entire 6 hours of IAR P&P CE – while also earning 6 hours of CE for CFP\, CIMA\, CPWA\, American College\, CPA\, and other advisor designations at this year’s Kitces Tax Intensive CE Day. This event will be delivered virtually by some of the most engaging and relevant experts in our industry. \nIn 2022\, a series of 7 states implemented the first-ever CE obligation for Investment Adviser Representatives (IARs)\, and since then additional states continue to be added each year. At its core\, the new IAR CE obligation mandates that financial advisors earn 12 hours of continuing education credits each year – 6 hours on Products and Practice and 6 hours on their Ethics and Professional Responsibility. Any IAR who has more than the de minimis number of clients in any of the affected states is subject to the new rule.

Any IAR who has more than the de minimis number of clients in any of the affected states is subject to the new rule. \nIf you are an FPA Member\, select the “Yes” option in the registration\n[click the website link below to register\, see the agenda\, and more details]
