Moderated by the esteemed Curt Weil\, CFP®\, this event aims to provide deep insights into the strategies and philosophies that have propelled our panelists to success. \n\nPANEL BIOS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCurt Weil\, CFP ® \nCurt Weil\, CFP began his career with E.F. Hutton in 1967\, obtained his CFP designation in 1982\, served as President of his local IAFP chapter and was the first President of the Silicon Valley Financial Planning Association chapter. In the late 1980’s he began teaching for the U.C. Extension system and taught generations of financial planners for more than 20 years. He served three years as a director of FPA national\, six years on the board of the Foundation for Financial Planning and was a founding member of FPA of California. Curt left the brokerage world in 1989 to start his own\, fee-only wealth management firm and and 25 years later sold it to his partner and retired. Today Curt continues to do financial planning on a pro-bono basis\, is an approved Ethics instructor for FPA chapters\, is active with FPA of CA\, is on the board of his local Boy Scout Council and fixes homes with Rebuilding Together. He is an instrument-rated pilot\, an authority on military history and single-malt whiskey\, enjoys a good cigar and lives with Margaret and two cats in Palo Alto.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nK. Esther Szabo\, CEO\, CFP®\, Gates Pass Advisors\, LLC \nAs both a Certified Financial Planner and Certified Financial Transitionist Esther focuses on both the technical and personal sides of money. She has been providing education and guidance to individuals since 1992\, and since 1998 in the ‘RIA’ world. She has a special niche working with women and couples in transition. After losing her husband in 2014\, she launched her own firm\, Gates Pass Advisors\, based in Los Altos with a satellite office in Washington. Gates Pass Advisors philosophy is to address financial planning first and maintain that planning throughout an engagement. Investments are integral\, but financial planning is what keeps clients safe. She remarried in 2019 and is now proud stepmom to two amazing young women\, and just returned from experiencing the total eclipse in Texas!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRob Lyman\, CFP®\, Johnson Lyman Wealth Advisors \nRob is President and principal architect of the firm’s highly personalized and comprehensive Wealth Management service.
