DESCRIPTION:Overview:\nThe tax law changes in late 2017 reshuffled the tax planning landscape.  We will begin our discussion with the big picture (observations and trends from the 2018 filing season and beyond)\, then move to specific issues with a business taxation deep dive (including case studies with business owners)\, and finish with common considerations and planning recommendations for our clients. \nTopic: Business Taxation: Advising Clients Effectively in the New Environment \nSpeaker: Meredith Johnson\, CPA\, CFP® \nFeatured Partner: TBA \nLocation: Maggiano’s Little Italy \nAbout the Speaker: \nMeredith Johnson\, CPA\, CFP®\, has deep experience in not only accounting\, but financial planning and analysis\, project management and business development.  She works with clients based on a holistic approach to taxation\, in the areas of estate planning and business succession particularly.  Her specialties include Financial Planning\, Tax Planning and Compliance\, Project Management\, Business Strategy\, Financial Modeling and Analysis\, Employee Training and Development\, and Public Policy Analysis and Advocacy.\n \nMeredith currently serves on the Board of the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA) and is the First Vice President of the CalCPA San Francisco chapter.
