Why it matters:
Since 2022, a growing list of states has required Investment Adviser Representatives to complete 12 hours of CE each year — half on Products & Practice, half on Ethics. If you serve more than a de minimis number of clients in an affected state, this requirement applies to you.
Good to know:
- Attendance is required for at least 50 minutes of each 1-hour session (100 minutes for the 2-hour session) to earn credit
- Kitces reports your completion directly to CFP Board, American College, IWI, and FINRA by September 10
