2017 Ethics Session

September 8, 2017 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Meeting Description

In this exciting and colorful event, we will review both the Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility AND The Financial Planning Practice Standards Plus the Six-Step Financial Planning Process!

When we are done, you will be able to determine if a practitioner is providing financial planning or material elements of planning, and be able to demonstrate an understanding of the required elements of a written agreement when providing planning services.

If that isn’t enough to keep you awake, there’s more! You will be able to articulate disclosure requirements and be able to apply them in your practice and be almost an expert in defining and outlining elements of the fiduciary standard, while knowing when it applies (hint: most of the time.)

This session fulfills the ETHICS requirement as put forth by the CFP Board.
