Brown Bag Lunch Meetings
Brown Bags are lunchtime meetings with a focused topic and speaker, typically attended by 10-15 people, and they provide a more casual and intimate setting to learn about and discuss specific topics. These meetings are offered at a nominal cost of $10 to FPA members, though if you want to eat, you should plan to bring a bag lunch. Pre-registration (via email) is essential to ensure that we have sufficient room, as well as to facilitate communication in the event of a location or date change.
The goal of the Brown Bag committee is to set up a rolling 3-6 month schedule of interesting, advanced, and even obscure topics that will appeal to a different group of members than the regular monthly meetings. We envision Brown Bags as expanding the educational offerings of FPA-SV, as well as providing a more intimate setting for member networking. And, for our members who are unable to attend the monthly meetings, Brown Bags provide an opportunity to meet and network with fellow professionals around a topic of mutual interest.
Information and Signups
Brown bags are usually scheduled on the 3rd Friday of the month, but the date can change depending upon the speaker’s schedule. The location can be different for each Brown Bag. Preregistration is required as seating is limited to the size of the conference room being used.

May I bring a guest? |

Yes, we welcome guests of FPA members. This is one way to introduce new people to our FPA chapter in a more limited setting by letting them experience our educational and networking opportunities with a smaller group. When you register, please mention that you would like to bring a guest. Guests are charged the same $10 fee that FPA members pay. |

Please contact the Brown Bag team member listed as a contact if you would like to attend. Seating is limited. And, as circumstances have forced us in the past to change the location of a meeting; it is important that we know who the attendees are so we can reach them in the event of a change. |

We do not send our materials to the CFP Board for review, so these lunch meetings do not officially qualify for CE credits. |

Where are the Brown Bag Meetings held? |

We currently have conference room space in Cupertino, though this can change. When you register for the meeting, you will be provided with the specific meeting location. If you have conference room space that you can make available for future Brown Bag meetings, please contact a member of the Brown Bag Committee. |
