As a member of the Financial Planning Association and the government relations committee in particular, you have an active role in shaping FPA positions on various government initiatives. Be among the first to learn about new and pending state and federal legislative and regulatory provisions that could affect the way you do business. And help us communicate in a timely manner important legislative and regulatory information to our fellow Silicon Valley FPA members. Your active involvement will make the FPA even stronger! At the National LevelFPA is the preeminent advocate on behalf of the financial planning profession and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals. The national government relations office of the FPA, based in Washington, D.C., exclusively represents members' interests before federal and state regulators and lawmaking bodies to leverage a more unified voice on issues affecting financial planning.
