Meeting Details:
Rev. Marcella "Shanti" Macartney, M.Div.
serves as an associate minister at the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment (CSE), an interfaith spiritual teaching and practice center in San José, California. She earned her Master of Divinity degree at Meru Seminary and completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology at San José State University. Rev. Macartney also now serves as the primary instructor in the Sacred CareGiving certification training well as overseeing the CSE’s Compassionate Companion program.
Her hospice training was completed with the Center for Living with Dying and Hospice of the Valley—where she now offers classes on “Sacred Vigiling.” With over twenty years of hands-on, practical experience supporting the critically ill and/or dying and their loved ones, Rev. Macartney brings a wealth of knowledge from spiritual traditions—east and west—to bear on this very important time in one’s journey.
• Have you ever had a client cry during a meeting and not know what to say or do?
• Have you ever thought you were saying the right things to comfort your client (or spouse), but it is interpreted wrong?
• Do your clients feel heard?
• Would you like to be more comfortable handling delicate situations?
Then join us on December 12th for “Compassionate Listening and Compassionate Speaking”. Our speaker for this event has an enormous amount of hands on experience (not just the theoretical knowledge) to share with us.
