Public Relations

Community RelationsOur public relations activities have two primary goals:

  • Educate the public about the value of financial planning, including helping to answer questions such as: “when do you need to engage a financial planner” and “what to look for in your planner.”
  • And establishing the FPA of Silicon Valley chapter as the voice of financial planning among our local media outlets.

We further these goals:

  • By promoting the extensive Pro Bono activities provided by our membership within our community,
  • By making our CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢ membership available for members of the media.
  • And by offering financial literacy programs through our local libraries.

Get Involved

You are invited to participate in this lively group.  You can play an ongoing role or participate in a very limited manner.  All are welcome.  Please inquire with Susan Adams at execdirector@fpasv.org.

Meetings

The Public Relations group meets with our Pro Bono committee every other month to coordinate activities.   We usually meet in Cupertino at Pacific Business Centers – 19925 Stevens Creek Blvd. Check the Calendar for our next meeting.
