Dear FPA members and community,

I am honored to be your 2011 President. My hope is that you are getting the full benefit of your membership. Our goal is to be the premier financial planning resource to the Silicon Valley community. We are a network of caring professionals who have the best interest of our clients and community at heart.

I encourage all to be more involved with the Silicon Valley FPA. Attend one of our meetings, mentor a new planner, and serve on a committee. Our meetings provide a great opportunity to network with other planners, keep up to date with timely financial issues and topics, and share best practices. Our new website is a Chapter and community resource, including listing local intern, part-time, and full-time job posts as well giving those seeking positions an opportunity to post what they are looking for.

Our pro bono work over the last year has included projects with Junior Achievement, Foster Youth, Military families and providing pro-bono planning clinics for the community.  Our Pro-bono programs are top notch and our goal is to let the community know that we are involved and genuinely care enough to devote our time and skills to help others. 

We welcome your ideas on how we can further enhance the chapter as a resource for you and for the community.
